Luxer is situated on one of the main streets in the Red Light District.

It’s a bit less luxurious than the number one on our list but this hotel would score number one if we solely based it on a price/ quality ratio. Breakfast costs just 8 euro. Another plus is that it’s just 200 meters from Amsterdam Central Station.

Our review

In our experience, the reception with a bar at Hotel Luxer is both unique and genius. You can sit down and enjoy a cocktail, water, soda, or coffee while watching TV and chatting with the hotel staff. We particularly enjoyed talking to one of the employees: Sky, who was able to give us some excellent recommendations for the Red Light District. When we checked out, they even gave us a little goody bag of snacks, a soda, and some lovely skin cream. We highly recommend this hotel!

It has rooms with kingsize beds but also easy-to-share rooms like these.

A small hotel that only offers budget rooms. All rooms have their own bathroom. The bar has the coolest touch of all the hotels in Amsterdam Red Light District: A wooden floor taken from a 17th century ship of Holland’s highest regarded war hero: Admiral de Ruyter.

Awesome Bar Amsterdam
This is the kind of bar where you want to have a beer!

Our review

We found the room to be of a generous size, and the ensuite was also well-appointed and impeccably clean. Its superb location put us just a stone’s throw away from a variety of bars, restaurants, and other entertainment venues, and we could reach Central Station in just six minutes on foot.

Regrettably, the noise emanating from partygoers in the streets and surrounding bars persisted well into the night, preventing us from getting a decent night’s sleep. Despite our early departure to catch a train to Schipol Airport, we were left feeling exhausted due to having only managed to sleep for three hours.
