Review
The staff at coffeeshop the Jolly Joker are quit nice. The smokes are okay, but its just the feeling of this coffee shop which is really nice. In summer when its warm, you can get the seat by the open window. The view down the street is awesome.
Coffeeshop The Jolly Joker is a people watchers paradise! You’ll have a great view on Amsterdam’s 纽马克特 and 瓦赫. Which is the oldest non-religious building of Amsterdam. In this part of Amsterdam – called De Wallen – there’s always something happening. And the little upstairs is cool too.

Coffeeshop the Jolly Joker used to be a so called coffee house (or in Dutch: Koffiehuis). It was a social place where people met each other, while they enjoyed a cup of coffee or tea.
You know what’s weird about some shops in Amsterdam? Some of them do not accept payments by card. Some people don’t even carry cash money anymore, as they are so used to pay by card. It could be that some coffeeshops in Amsterdam don’t want to register the number of weed transactions, because they are afraid for the local authorities.
Anyway, the good thing about coffeeshop The Jolly Joker is that they do offer payments by card! Thank you for that, Jolly Joker! You’re one of the few who haven’t been living under a rock. Thumbs up!
