The Pride lasts for a total of 16 days. Most of the parties and the canal parade will take place during the last three days of the event (5\u20137 August). Amsterdam is the only city in the world where a Pride parade passes by on boats. The parade navigates across\u00a0the entire Prinsengracht so there are plenty of spots for people to get a good look at the eighty extravagantly decorated boats.\u00a0What follows now are 10 tips\u00a0that we&#8217;ve carefully selected for you.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"_Tip_1_Dont_Underestimate_the_Crappy_Dutch_weather\"><\/span>\u00a0Tip 1: Don\u2019t Underestimate the Crappy Dutch weather<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Even during the summertime Holland (21th of June till the 20th of September) is known for lots of rain. Bring a poncho, just in case even if it&#8217;s just a little cloudy! Close to the dancing crowd and really energetic because the boats have just left the starting point.<\/p>\n<h4>Stopera:<\/h4>\n<p>A\u00a0long curved canal located at city hall. A populair place for viewing the Pride parade. It&#8217;s our favorite spot&#8230; It&#8217;s recommended to go here early, let&#8217;s say around 10 am, then you\u00a0can claim a good spot on the bridge or just next to it.<\/p>\n<h4>Caf\u00e9\u00a0Sluyswacht:<\/h4>\n<p>Located at the end of the canal parade. We would also advice you to not wear a backpack, they can be really annoying for other people at the party who stand behind you.
