Green Left party (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/GroenLinks\" rel=\"noopener\">GroenLinks<\/a>) member and Amsterdam&#8217;s first female mayor has proposed four different scenario&#8217;s for prostitution in Amsterdam:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The introduction of a display ban; the curtains on the Red Light District will close and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/zh\/news\/sex-workers\/\">sex workers<\/a> will no longer be visible for the public. Relocating those workplaces is not an option because then the customers will not know where to find the sex workers. Will Halsema also organise bus-trips for them to the western port section in Amsterdam?\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sexyfoxxynl\" rel=\"noopener\">Foxxy<\/a>, sex workers who stand behind the windows in Amsterdam&#8217;s Red Light District have consciously opted for this form of sex work.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>We believe that it should remain as it is, on top of that the municipality should make it completely legal for sex workers to work more easily from home.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Entrepreneurs and brothel-operators in the Red Light District also opt for more window brothels instead of less.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-17459 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Window-Prostitution-in-Amsterdam-Red-Light-District.jpg\" alt=\"Amsterdam Red Light District Sex Workers\" width=\"800\" height=\"777\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Window-Prostitution-in-Amsterdam-Red-Light-District.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Window-Prostitution-in-Amsterdam-Red-Light-District-300x291.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Window-Prostitution-in-Amsterdam-Red-Light-District-768x746.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Amsterdam&#8217;s most narrow alley has currently nine window brothels.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not so much in favour of extra windows brothels, but about the spreading out of visitors that results from this,&#8221; the previous Red Light District-approach of the local government to change <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/zh\/de-wallen-amsterdam\/\">De Wallen<\/a> neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>Those were precisely the window brothels in the alleys, where customers still had a certain anonymity,&#8221;
