href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/nl\/information\/prostitution-in-holland\/\">prostitutie<\/a> to other parts of the city, including the neighborhoods where those new workplaces can be found.<\/p>\n<p>A prostitution hotel outside the Red Light District of Amsterdam is one of the options, she said during the council debate on Thursday 17th October 2019.<\/p>\n<p>At the request of the city council, Halsema also wants to investigate whether <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/nl\/news\/sex-workers\/\">sekswerkers<\/a> can be given the opportunity to attract customers online or receive them at home, which is not yet permitted.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"New_Workplaces_for_Sex_Workers_in_Amsterdam\"><\/span>New Workplaces for Sex The debate is slowly shifting in the direction in which Amsterdammers have to take into account that new workplaces will also be created for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/nl\/news\/amsterdam-prostitution-menu\/\">prostituees<\/a> outside the 3 area&#8217;s in the city with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/nl\/news\/bordelen-amsterdam\/\">Amsterdam brothels<\/a>, which are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Red Light District of Amsterdam (De Wallen)<\/strong>, <strong>the Singel area<\/strong> en <strong>the Ruysdaelkade street<\/strong>. Now a recycle store with a subsidized low rent.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The number of window brothels in Amsterdam are currently +- <strong>365<\/strong>. The Red Light District (De Wallen) counts 292 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/nl\/news\/amsterdam-red-light-windows\/\">raambordelen<\/a>, the Singel area has 37 windows and the Ruysdaelkade also has 35.<\/p>\n<p>De Wallen used to have more window brothels before the start of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/nl\/news\/amsterdam-red-light-district-wiki\/\">gentrification-plan <strong>Project 1012<\/strong><\/a> that changed window brothels into art-galleries, waffle stores, recycle stores, record shops, etc. <span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-1qd0xha r-ad9z0x r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">112 window brothels were closed in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/nl\/de-wallen-amsterdam\/\">De Wallen<\/a> since 2007, which costed 108 million euros in tax money. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-1qd0xha r-ad9z0x r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">On 26th of June 2018, Amsterdam&#8217;s Court of Audit came with hard conclusions after analyzing Project 1012: \u201c<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.parool.nl\/nieuws\/rekenkamer-wallenproject-overheid-niet-gelukt~b0548bdf\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Gentrification-plan in Red Light District of Amsterdam failed<\/a>\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Disagreement_Within_Amsterdams_Council\"><\/span>Disagreement Within Amsterdam&#8217;s Council<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/nl\/tour\/red-light-district-audio-tour\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18347 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Prostitution-in-Amsterdam-Legal-1024x858.jpg\" alt=\"Prostitution in Amsterdam\" width=\"1024\" height=\"858\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Prostitution-in-Amsterdam-Legal-1024x858.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Prostitution-in-Amsterdam-Legal-300x251.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Prostitution-in-Amsterdam-Legal-768x644.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Prostitution-in-Amsterdam-Legal-600x503.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Prostitution-in-Amsterdam-Legal.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>Amsterdam, Oudezijds Achterburgwal<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There is disagreement about whether this relocation will subsequently lead to fewer windows in the Red Light District of Amsterdam. The Socialist Party (SP) and Labour Party (PvdA) want to sacrifice part of the window brothels for this. We do not want to advertise online with or without curtains closed or work somewhere else. Provide more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/nl\/news\/amsterdam-red-light-windows\/\">raambordelen<\/a> and also more workplaces elsewhere in the city for other sex workers. Many stakeholders agree to this. The crowds is one of the reasons to intervene in window prostitution, in addition to combat human trafficking and safeguarding the human rights of prostitutes.
