The Exit Control Programs for Prostitutes (ECPP) is expiring and the subsidy will soon be stopped.
Exit Control Programs make a significant contribution to lowering the threshold and help these prostitutes to a new job and a new future. The further development of the exit programs are important, according to the Christian Union, because the government plans to raise the minimum age for prostitutes to 21 years.
“It would be a waste of money, if the Exit Control Programs for Prostitutes will be stopped”, says Andre Rouvoet of the Christian Union. “Prostitutes find it hard to just quit their jobs, because of the compulsion by pimps, lack of shelter and social deprivation, such as debts and gaps in their resume”.
