The letter further contained information about the progress in streamlining public transport for tourists.\u00a0Earlier in the year Dijksma had already promised that the special tourist pass would be made available this year. Dutch political parties <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/People%27s_Party_for_Freedom_and_Democracy\" rel=\"noopener\">VVD<\/a> (conservative\/ liberal) and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Democrats_66\" rel=\"noopener\">D66<\/a> (social-liberal\/ progressive) insisted that there should be a tourist pass.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Two_Tourist_Pass_Options\"><\/span>Two Tourist Pass Options<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8253 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Amsterdam-Dutch-Public-Transport-Tourist-Pass-Metro-Train-Tram.jpeg\" alt=\"Dutch Public Transport Tourist Pass\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Amsterdam-Dutch-Public-Transport-Tourist-Pass-Metro-Train-Tram.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/www.amsterdamredlightdistricttour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Amsterdam-Dutch-Public-Transport-Tourist-Pass-Metro-Train-Tram-300x225.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There will be two variants of the Dutch\u00a0public transport tourist pass: a day pass valid from 09:00 in the morning and one that lasts all day. The all-day pass will cost\u00a0<strong>59,- euros<\/strong>. The pass from 09:00 will be priced at <strong>39,- euros<\/strong>. With this pricing strategy the government hopes to spare the morning rush.\u00a0Both passes will allow tourists to travel throughout Holland. All public transportation will be accessible: bus, subway, tram and train. The passes aren\u2019t exclusively for tourists according to Dijksma. The main goal of the evaluation will be to further develop the pass\u00a0and possible corresponding products.
