It is a bar with a long counter where the entertainers serve your drinks and perform their banana tricks right in front of you, usually while you stay on your stool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One detail that surprises most visitors: Banana Bar and Casa Rosso have the same owner. The Banana Bar&#8217;s own history page names Red Light District entrepreneur Jan Otten, whose group also runs Casa Rosso, the Erotic Museum and a peep show. The programme runs roughly four acts of about ten minutes each, and they rotate through the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The acts are explicit, performed by couples and solo dancers, and there is no dialogue to follow. Audience participation happens now and then, and it is always voluntary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because nothing is spoken, the language barrier disappears. That is a large part of why it works for mixed international groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Banana Bar works the other way around. The entertainers behind the bar are scantily dressed or nude, they pour your drinks, and the banana routine is what the place is named after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is closer to a comedy dare than a theatre performance. Expect eye contact, banter and the feeling that you are part of the show whether you planned to be or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their FAQ is blunt about the limit: asked whether sexual acts are on offer, the venue answers that it only provides erotic entertainment.
